Human Resources Assistant

This role will partner with management, employees and people operations colleagues to facilitate and communicate various human resources policies, procedures, laws and regulations. This will be done with a collaborative and approach. 
The People Operations team includes individuals who have a passion and talent for what they do. They have a collaborative approach and a curious and positive mindset and they own the following categories on the team
-   Generalist
-   HRIS 
-   Immigration 
-   Payroll 
 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support the daily operations of the People Operations team 
  • Assist in developing and executing on HR policies, processes, and procedures
  • Provide guidance to employee population on various HR-related topics including but not limited to Leaves of Absence, FMLA, Benefits, Retirement, Time and Attendance, policy interpretation, handbook updates, notification documents, separation documents, performance review, payroll, and all other general HR topics
  • Updates and entry into HRIS
  • Manage the general HR inbox by responding to inquiries, educating employees on processes and procedures, providing current and compliant information, and present the appropriate HR documents for various processes and employee requests
  • Manage benefit enrollment within system in addition to communication around annual processes and timelines
  • Track and maintain benefit enrollment records 
  • Collaborate with with internal partners, outside vendors, upper management and while maintaining a high quality customer-centric approach
  • Lead annual People Operations audits, HR processes, and compliance reporting
  • Assist as needed with new hire onboarding and employee offboarding processes
  • Assist in facilitating employee relations activities and reviews 
  • Conduct employee check in and exit interviews
  • Gather, create reports, and analyze data with useful HR metrics and presentations
  • Maintain employee files, records, and HR process library
  • Perform other related duties and projects as assigned
  • Apply knowledge from Human Resources experience and training to facilitate an enhanced human resources experience for all Apps employees

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • An attitude of continuous improvement and a growth mindset 
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion
  • 3+ years HR knowledge and experience 
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Solutions driven and resourceful thinking 
  • General knowledge of Federal, State and Local laws and regulations related to employment
    • Multi-state benefit and leave management experience
  • Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally
    • Proven proficiency in using MS-office (particularly MS Excel, pivot tables, mail merge, v-look up, and formulas)
  • Adaptable with a positive attitude towards change
  • Must be able to work well with others 
  • Familiarity with using Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS)
